*artwork description:

“Inspired” by events of the year 2020, the work “Tensions” allowed me a tactile way to encompass visually, what I felt “we” were doing and needed to do. It’s assemblage gave description to the thought and belief of the tenacity of “Us”.

The coil (shock absorber) represents the body. The two circles (drum rims) represent information that has to be managed. The smaller coils (metal springs) new growth to manage balance. The outcome and perspective of the work is a new balance is achieved.
